Could Lower Back Pain Be Due To Disc Herniation Causing Compression Upon The Thecal Sac?
Hello I have been having lower back pain so my neurologist sent me for MRI. Received results that shows diffuselylowvertebralmarrowsignalintensity low vertebral marrow signal intensity on both t1 and t2 weighting. This may represent a marrow infiltrative process or anemia. To exclude a marrow infiltrative process correlation with the patients hematological studies and medical history is suggested. L2-3 broad disc bulge with a left para central protruding disc herniation causing compression upon the thecal sac and bilateral recess narrowing. My doctor is sending me to a hematologist all the blood work from my regular doctor are all fine no anemia hemoglobin are fine. I m worried I have an appt Monday but I m a little upset. Can you explain a little better to me.
