Could Lump On The Lower Jaw Be Due To Skin Cancer?

I m 43 year old Chinese woman. I had a pimple like bean-size bump on my lower jaw skin since probably 5 or 6 years ago. When it started, I went to see a GP and he said it s just a pimple(I told him it was there over months though). So I trusted him and did not see another doctor since. Nothing has changed so far these years in terms of size, color and everything, nothing changed but it just still there. Would there be any possibility of skin cancer which would be there so long but not growing at all??? This is all I concern about skin cancer.....(I used to have thyroid cancer)
