Could My Left Ear Pain Be Due To A Worsening Ear Infection Or A Sinus Infection When I Have Had Sinus Congestion?

I went to an urgent care a week and a half ago and they said I had an ear infection. At the time, my right ear was the worst. I have had sinus congestion the whole time. Now my left ear is in quite a bit of pain. They did give me an antibiotic when I went in...could it be a sinus infection or could the left ear just be worse?
