Could My Negative Chlamydia And Gonorrhea Results Be Due To Testing Too Early After Symptoms?

I recently had unprotected sex with someone a couple of weeks ago (I know stupid) and 2 days I go I was feeling strong burning when I urinated, and also my prostate was on fire then 3 days later its completely gone, I don’t feel any burning or discomfort anymore. So I went to get tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea. I just my results today and it says that I’m negative on both. Did I test to early, should I retest a couple weeks later? I’m not sure what could be happening.
