Could Nodules In Thyroid Cause Symptoms Of Anxiety And Depression?

Hi there, I have been diagnosed with anxiety/depression & have been on meds for it for 20 years, continuing to suffer. Now I had an ultra sound down on my thyroid and they have found nodules in my thyroid, which they are doing a biopsy on. I just read up about nodules in the thyroid & the symptoms are pretty much identical to the symptoms of anxiety/depression & I have pretty much ALL the symptoms. Is it possible that it could be my thyroid causing these unbearable symptom & not anxiety/depression at all. Thank-you so much for your time
