Could Numbness And Pain In Fingers Be Due To Spinal Stenosis?

I suffer with spinal stenosis and have had steroid shots which were great in the beginning but now only is good for about a month after I have them. The last two weeks I have had a numbness in my right hands fingers. A numbness that is painfull and I rub the fingers to ease the pain, Is this a symptom of spinal stenosis or something else?
