Could Open Sore On Vaginal Lips With Swollen Lymph Nodes Be Due To Herpes?

I have an open sore on my right vaginal outer lip. It is slightly swollen as well. I had a swollen lymph node in that area. I went to the doctor and she said to her it looked more like a bacterial infection because i wasnt in serious pain. She swabbbed for herpes as well i havent gotten results yet. To you does this sound like herpes???
