Could Pain And Numbness In Legs Be Due To Bulging Of Spinal Disc?

I have a MRI report stated disc bulge that encroaches the neural for amoeba indents the thecal sac. I have sever pain down both legs most of the time numbness tingling and into both feet. Can you tell me how serious that might be? Oh and I have tear of the posterior annulus
