Could Pain In Abdomen Radiating To The Back Be Due To Pancreatitis?

My husband is having some pain in his abdomen and moving to his back. He had his gallbladder removed a few years ago. Could this pain be pancreatitis and should he go to the ER or wait until the morning? The pain is a dull ache not severe.
