Could Pain In Lower Back Be Associated With Kidney Failure?

My doctor has told me today I have mild kidney failure and uriary track inf. and giving me antibiotics. Is pain in the lower back go with this and also feet swelling and have needles picking all the time. I do not have high sugar count. do I have to watch my diet?
