Could Pain In Rib, Chest And Shoulder Blade Be Due To Stress?

I am a 55 year old female that has had aching pain in the left rib area. Two weeks ago my BP spiked to 190/120 even on BP medicine. Started to have dull ache (heaviness) in left chest and left shoulder blade. ER ekg was normal, cardiac enzymes were normal and BP settled down. Nitro did not change discomfort in chest/back. Following uo with Cardiologist this week. Any idea what I should expect? Could this all be stress related? I am pretty high-strung..
