Could Patchy Hair Loss Be Due To Thyroid Problem?

i have diffuse hair loss but not balding, thin and low density crown and front, i used laser and thickness doubled - i have used laser for 6 months. i have shaved my hair yesterday and the hair roots are visible on the front but not so much on the crown area, can patchy hair loss be due to thyroid problems as i was reading
