Could Recurring Shortness Of Breath And Dizziness Indicate Asthma?

While watching TV the other day, all of a sudden i felt shortness of breath then got lightheaded and felt dizzy for about an hour. it eventually went away but the next night I had trouble getting to sleep because of shortness of breath. Today i feel there are minor times when breathing is a little uncomfortable. I have had no cough or wheezing, and the symptoms sort of came out of nowhere. Could it be Asthma?
