Could Red Hard Painful Bump Be Due To STD?

It started as a red bump. It was hard and almost the size of a small jelly bean with a black look to it. Looked like an ingrown hair. It does not burn...but it does hurt. I messed with it. Nothing comes out. It is now still hard and black...but looks open almost. Could this be an std?
