Could Root Canal Treatment Be The Cause For Vertigo?

Hi, I am a 47 year old male. Eight days ago I got extremely dizzy after a night of sleep. I soon started vomiting just like being seasick. I went to my doctor and was diagnosed with vertigo. I still have some dizziness but not as bad. I had a root canal done four years ago that has broke up and all is left are some roots. There is no pain or obvious infection. Would this possibly cause my vertigo? Thanks Jim Broadhurst
