Could Severe Bleeding Be Due To The Swelling Of Ovary?

hello im 21 years of age and had a baby june last year. for 5 months after i was bleeding really heavily so they sent me for a scan to reveal that my right ovary is very is very swollen, nothing was done. since then i havnt bled at all and my daughter is nearly a year old. so they have sent me for another scan to find that my ovary is still very swollen and i have a lot of fluid in my cervix and around my ovary. a friend of mine who is a nurse said it might be polycistic ovaries. and the fluid will be in my pouch of douglas, i need help and dont seem to be getting anywere with the doctors or hospital, what will it be?
