Could Severe Burning In Foot Be Due To Stress Fracture?

I fractured my foot 3 months ago and didn t go to the doctor till about 2 weeks ago. Xray was fine. Told me I had a stress fracture. Told me to wrap my foot up and wear the medical boot. Friday I was working (mail room on my feet all day) and my foot started burning... I was in tears it hurts so bad. Do you know why it was like that?
