Could Severe Depression Be Due To Klonopin?

Hi ... I am a 73 year old woman (under-weight since my husband s death in 2011) and then at age 71 had both ovaries and fallopian tubes removed because of a cyst which was non-cancerous. I was on Xanax .5 mgs 3 x a day for 20 years and my new doctor has put me on .5 mgs of Klonopin. I often have good days, but every so often get very depressed and don t know if it s hormonal issues or the Klonopin. Any help would be appreciated. Marcy
