Could Severe Headache Be Due To Damage Of Neck And Upper Back Tissue?

Last night I was sitting down talking to a friend and suddenly I got very dizzy and lightheaded (almost like I was passing out). The dizziness and lightheadedness passed after a couple of minutes, but then I got a very severe headache which I still have today. I was in a rear collision car accident one year and two months ago, and have permanent neck and upper back tissue damage.
