Could Severe Itching In Breasts Be Premenopausal Symptoms?

I'm 51 years old and my breasts are very itchy. It happened a couple of months ago and it went away. It started again like 3 weeks ago and it is driving me crazy. I have no rash, I'm not swollen or anything. All I can think about is that my period has become very irregular after always being very regular. I might be going thru premenopause. But I called a dermatologist and they gave me an appointment 20 days from now. I think I will scratch my boobs of my body by then. It's not the bra or detergent either. I haven't changed anything and nothing else itches. What can I do? Please help
