Could Severe Pain In Chest Be Due To Fractured Bone?

Last Sunday I slipped on ice and fell on the scoop of my shovel, chest first, and broke the shovel. Today is Saturday and it is still very painful. Is it possible that I have broken a bone. It is fine when I am upright or sitting. But moving a certain way (sideways) causes acute pain. What can you tell me?
