Could Severe Pain In Ear Lobes And Cheek Be Due To Massive Nerve Damage?

I have massive nerve damage from diabetes; I recently experienced serve pain in the lobes of my ears, my left cheek, and cranial nerves. I have been massaging them and did achieve tremendous relief. What can I do; to suppress this from occurring? I had a buildup of toxins ( I think) from the many prescriptions that I must take.
