Could Severe Pain In Knee Post Surgery Be Due To Blood Clot?

my husband had a total knee replacement done on fed 2 2015 since the day he had surgery he has been in extreme pain more than usual. after the had the surgery his dr can into the recovery room a said he knee needed adjust he leg that it was not right .He grab his foot with one hand and toke the palm of his other hand and put it on his knee cap and pulled up on his foot and pushed down on his knee and twisted his leg as hard as he could. make my husband scream . all the nurses said they were so sorry he did that to you. after that he has been unable to talk on that leg his pain is worse now than before surgery. we called the dr a told him he was having swelling and extreme pain that was getting worse everyday gdr said he was fine got so bad I cal 911 he got a blood clot his leg. ? is if new knee was damaged wood you be able to tell w Xray
