Could Severe Pain In Knees Be Due To OS Good Schlatters Disease?

Hello I have osgood schlatters disease in both knees the size of the lumps has increased over the past 6months it's not from exercise as I don't do any but it is now to pain full to climb stairs or sit on a chair for long periods of time. Would having the lump shaved off help with the pain? I also have bilateral hip dysplaxia which I am pretty much crippled from I am 33yrs any ideas to help as pain relief is not working?!?
