Could Sharp Pain Under The Breastbone Be Gastric Problem?

iam having a sharp pain under my breastbone at night it gets worse....its really a very bad pain i feel like to press it to relief da pain ..is dis gastric problem or something? n also i have cerviacal disc degenration..plzzz help the pain is breath taking sumtimes :(
