Could Snapping Sound Under Ribs Be Due To Fracture In Rib Cage?

Hi my 56 yr old mom just described to me a copy or snapping under her lower left rib cage she also has been doing physical therapy to help her bone spurs in her hip do you think the last parking snapping feeling is a fractured rib or pulled muscle? Thanks concerned daughter
