Could Sore Throat And Inflamed Tonsils Post Oral Sex Indicate STD?

I preformed oral sex 4 days ago and yesterday after smoking I noticed my throat was a little soar. I looked at my throat today and it looks like my tonsills are inflamed with some white spotting, not much but it's there. No other symptoms other than the soar throat. I'm getting paranoid. This has happened before after oral, and I plan on getting tested in a week or so. Could it just be tonsillitis or does this sound more like an std? Could the smoking have made it worse, and should I stop until the soarness goes away?
