Could Stitches On Chin Cause Right Side Of Chin Being Above The Left Side?

Hi so I believe I chipped my mandible directly under my chin...there seems to be a bumb on the right side, but not the left. Went to the doctor and just got stitches, but it's been over a month now. Also when I smile, the right side of my chin is a touch above the left side...could this just be from having stitches or????
