Could Stomach Pain Be Caused Be Tampon Left Inside?

hi on saturday night i went out and was wearing a tampon when i came home i slightly remember going to the toilet but dont remember if i took the tampon out on when i woke up on sunday there wasnt anything there and i cant find anything inside me , i have still been bleeding so dont know if that means there isnt anything in there else it would have absorbed it , but today i have been getting stomach pains.
