Could Sudden Loss Of Consciousness Be Due To Lowered Blood Sugar Levels?

YESTERDAY, AFTER TAKING MY DIABETES MED, GLIPIZIDE, AND ONLY EATING A HALF OF A tUNA SANDWICH, MY HUSBAND SAW ME COLAPSE into my chair what he thought was asleep.....abount a hour or so later......he tried to awaken me....he couldn t for a while then finally did and told me I had to get up and watch our Daycare kids. I remember getting up and walking into the living room and seeing one Daycare parent at the door. It seems she saw something wrong with me and asked me if I would like her stay which I say yes..............then she asked me if I wanted to sit down which I said...I don t know much after that. Just very small bits before my husband led me to bed at 12:00am.........my husband awakened me with some problems at 12:05am....I got up feeling very wobbly and unable to stand...(I was not much memory before this) having a hard time walking and thought.........these may be signs of low blood sugar. At 12:15M I checked my blood sugar and it was 37. Could it be that my blood sugar may have been lower before this?
