Could Swallowing Of Contaminated Chocolate Be Life Threatening?

i just bit into a chocolate ball and chewed it. I then spat it out because i noticed live maggots in the wrapping. Can i get sick?i mean i doubt i ingested the worm, but i think i swallowed some sediments of the chocolate that may have been contaminated
