Could Swelling And Redness At Ear Piercing Be Due To Infection?

I'm worried my earring hole is infected. I got my ears pierced over a year ago, but ever since then my left ear gets swollen and red when I put in earrings. I only wear Hypoallergenic earrings and theres no puss. But if I squeeze it a very SMALL amount of clear liuid comes out. Should I treat it, is it an infection, let it close up or whats going on with my ear?
