Could Swelling In Genitals Be Normal While On Zovirax?

Hello. I was diagnosed with general herpes yesterday and prescribed Zovirax tablets I have now taken 9 tablets in total. As today ad progressed I have felt increasingly uncomfortable with increasing pain. I have just self examined and horrified to see that my genitals are excessively swollen. I have just read the Zovirax leaflet and it says to seek immediate medical attention if swelling of tongue or throat occurs, is this normal for this to happen?
