Could The PV Bleeding Be Due To Pelvic Inflammation?

hi,my cousine(27 years) went to the doctor today for pv bleeding.her last period:20/09/2010.G3 P1.the pregnancy test was positive.(BHCG)

Pv examination: os closed/no clots/blood ++

Ultrasound: empty uterus with endometrial echo measuring 5mm.right ovary normal/cyst mass seen on the left ovary.

My question is :is this any kind of ectopic pregnancy or could it be just pelvic inflammation disease.thank you.
