Could The Delayed Periods Be Due To Steroids?

I have ulcerative colitis and am currently on high amounts of steroids due to a recent flare up. I've been on them for about 2 months now. Reecently i've been getting pregnancy symptoms and have not come on my period but the test was negative. Could the steroids be affecting the test ?
