Could The Growth Of Fluffy Hair Be A Sign Of Recovery From Alopecia?

I am 34 years old female and have had an overacive thyroid gland for 18 months now, this was discovered as I began alopecia symptoms now severe. Recently (3-4 months ago) I have blonde/white fluffy thin hair growthing on my head, it's about 4-5cm long and stands on end - could this be a sign of recovery of the alopecia?
