Could The Pain In Back Be Pre Menstrual?

My 11 yr. old daughter woke up yesterday morning with back pain. She says it's her spine. Pain got so bad last night that she cried. Seems to tolerate it off and on. Slept with heating pad. Still complaining of pain today. Did not do anything physical to cause the pain. Wondering if she could be pre-menstrual. Also told me it tickles when she urinates. Wondering if this could be something more serious.
