Could The Prolonged Bleeding Be Due To Hormonal Imbalance?

hi i am 31 yrs old and I have this period of more than 20 days already but not that much of heavy bleeding. I consulted an gynaecologist and she told me it is because of hormonal imbalance and because i am taking my contaceptive pill in different timings a day. she recommended cyclo 3 fort and that is the one im using now for 3 days, but the bleeding is still there. Help me please when will the bleeding stop?
