Could Tremors And Nights Sweats Be Due To Effexor?

Hi, my husband was on efexor for a long time. He decided on his own that this medication was causing him to be unproductive at work & home -gave him the shakes and sweats at night . he got of Efexor gradually - but i know he still needed something to make up for is loss. he has now been prescribed Eleva 50. he is hesitant to take it. worried about having the same effects on him. Can he start with 1/2 tablet and gradually up it to 50gm? when would be the right tome to take it & does it matter before or after food? . He also takes 25mg of valdoxan every night.
