Could Yellowish Brown Discharge Normal After An Abortion?

I had an abortion on 8th of jan. I was 9 weeks. Ive been spotting on n off since. Which I heard was normal. But latley noticed the spotting was yellowish brown discharge. Is that normal. I do work out vigorously and is on medication for an infection that was on my arm. Coukd that also be why im experiencing this?
