Daughter Had Strep (confirmed) And I Woke With A Sharp

Daughter had strep (confirmed) and I woke with a sharp sore throat 5 days later. Uvula inflamed and swollen. Rapid test came back negative, but was given antibiotics due to exposure to strep. Uvula seems to be the site of infection, pus pocket on the side and bottom of the uvula. How long until this goes away? Been on meds 2.5 days...
