Dear Doctor Andre. Since yesterday I have experienced a strange swelling of the jaw near the ear, extending into the neck. I have taken Fosamax for one year and wonder if that is the cause. I have some temperature (103) and the swelled spot is warm and red. If it is the antibiotic resistant infection the warnings speak of, what else can I do to treat this. I Can only see a local Dr. tomorrow. I will certainly discontinue the Fosamax now. What else can I do to prevent my mild osteoporosis from getting worse.
