Dear Doctor,

I'm Pradeepa, 32 years old, married with a kid 6 years ago.

I'm writing to you seeking for a help/advise because am helpless for the past 10 years suffering from pain and in the vaginal area and around the urethra and vulva.

I'm having this trouble before my marriage. In the initial stages (year 2007), it was like one small cyst less than half a cm. It used to be like the ulcer or little red bumps around the labia or skin cracks. Very painful with needle pricking sensation. Every month I used to get this issue 10 days right after my period cycle. There will be swelling and pain, sometimes irritation in the area. The pain and swelling will remain until next cycle. Hardly I will be free for one week in a month. This continues every Month. The bump/cyst/ulcer was only in one place, anywhere left or right of the labia during the initial stages. But later 2-3 years it used to come in various places around that area, almost all. The swelling has become too much, painful and I'm not able to walk, sit, sleep or do anything. Even peeing has become fearful. Also I have too much of itching after periods. I used ultra whisper before and now changed soft cotton pads. During periods i used to have unbearable pain and heavy bleeding. The bleeding lasts for 5-6 days.

I have visited many gynecologist and they used to take the routine test like sugar, thyroid etc. Every time it's normal. Then after pelvic examination, they say the uteres mouth is Infected and prescribed antibiotics. Also I have fibroids measuring 2cm. Some say that there may be hormonal imbalance like estrogen levels are too low and may be due to pH imbalance, too acidic.

But I haven't received any solution till now. Please could you help me out of this. I heard every gynecologist saying that this is a very small problem and there is no need to worry because it's not going to harm me. I'm not afraid that I'll get some serious issues, but the day to day life is so miserable because of the pain and not even good sleep. I take lot of pain killers because it's unbearable. I want to get cured from this problem. Please help me. Thank you very much for taking your time to read my post.

Note: no sexual relationship past 5 and a half years. I use vaginal wash regularly.
