Dear Dr. Basti, Wishing you a Happy New Year. I have read your paper on Mosquitoes and HIV. The concept that mosquitoes do not transmit HIV was established in the 1980s. As discussed in my recent papers, the data collected in the early studies, that was used to formulate the concept, actually supported mosquitoes as the important risk factor, but, was distortedly interpreted. Therefore, mosquitoes have been excluded from the prevention strategy. HIV prevention has failed. It’s time to reevaluate our understanding of HIV transmission. Please read following two papers I published recently, showing why global data support that mosquitoes are the most important risk factor in HIV transmission. Please read paper 1 first, then, paper 2. Paper 1: https://www.journalajrid.com/index.php/AJRID/article/view/30246/56750 Paper 2: https://ijmphrr.org/index/index.php/archive/article/view/7/10 Thanks.
