Dear doctor my widal test shows salmonella typhi 1/80 positive. I have mild fever and severe body pain. what is the drug of choice. My doctor advice chloramphenicol 250 mg tid 7 days. But I don't get from anywhere. Can I take ciprofloxacin 500 mg BD. If can how long and after treatment when I can do widal test again to find the improvement.
