Dear doctors,
My kidneys seem not tolerating a lot of medicines. I had a lot antibiotics last year. This added to my suffering of Metformin and Januvia side effects causing severe abdominal and bladder/kidney pain. In May this year I was given strong cortisone injection to my knee causing blood sugar skyrocketed, excessive thirst, all night long urination, foamy urine and bad smell in mouth. I couldn't eat protein rich food. I felt extremely bad. I started Victoza injection or 0.6mg on May 26. Sugar was controlled around 110 but I got dehydrated and felt like collapsing all the time. ER treated with Ivy from June. I was treated by ER several times now, I feel I recovered less and less. Victoza caused heavy bloating, right side stomach bigger and kidney discomfort. I dropped Victoza five days now. I take 250mg Metformin with each meal. Sugar is around 1250 to 135. Now even with Metformin, I still have burning pain on my left side kidney. I take Coral calcium 350mg and Glucosamine with Chondroid 1500 daily. Three weeks ago, I even got gout attack on my right foot thumb. Local injection of Cortisone and none-steroid anti-imflamatory medicine. I still can't eat protein rich food. My kidneys will hurt more and I will see foamy urine. Lab test don't show protein because I am extremely careful with protein rich food. I take Avapro 150mg and Chlorthaledone 20mg for blood pressure. Armour thyroid 90mg for hypothyroid. Premarine 0.625mg and Metformin 250mg each meal. One doctor recommend insulin. Can any doctor tell me how can I get out of this bad cycle? Thanks.
