Do I have hand food mouth disease? Tuesday I was very irritable and had a headache. A sore throat then began to bother me. I came home from work and went to bed from 7:30pm to 630am the next morning. I woke up in the middle of the night with a fever and covered in sweat. The next day (Wednesday) I noticed parts of my gums were sore and were forming blisters. It is now Thursday and I have several sores in my mouth and on my tongue that are very painful. I also have a couple of similar blisters on my left hand. I work in a daycare setting and seem to always catch what the children have. About 1 week ago, a child had hand food mouth disease. Is this what I have? Do I need to seek treatment?
