Do Motrin And Ambien Interact With Each Other?

My husband is suffering from shingles and is taking a drug called gabapentin 600 mg. 3 times daily. He also takes motrin when needed. His doctor said he could take 1/2 of an Ambien at bedtime since he was not getting any sleep at all. Would there be a problem with him taking his motrin and amblen close together?
