Do Vitamin D Supplements Boost The Immunity System?

i am a 64 year old female with MCTD also osteopenia. i take genaric plaquinil. i need vit d3 and calcium but i am reading that they interfere with the medication. should i just try to eat the amounts i need. vit d will boost my immune system .. i take the meds to slow immune system sorry about slow typing ..trouble with hands
