Do Birth Control Pills Offer Protection Immediately After Taking Them?

Today I had sex for the first time. I started taking my birth control pills called Microgestin Fe 1/20 last sunday. My boyfriend did not cum inside of me, but there was a change that pre cum came out inside of me but we are unsure. We only had sex for about ten seconds. Is there a chance I am pregnant? Is my birth control in effect yet?
